Time Capsule Opening

Good Shepherd School celebrated a special milestone! On Thursday, April 9, the school opened a time capsule that was sealed in the year 2000.

The capsule revealed student projects, videos, letters from family members, and memories from more than two decades ago, offering a glimpse into the experiences, creativity, and perspectives of students from that time.

A video created for the occasion shares some of the student interviews, where they talk about what they wanted to be when they grew up, their favourite music, and their predictions for the future.

We were also fortunate to welcome former Good Shepherd student and former Edmonton Oiler Tyler Ennis, who surprised students and joined the celebration marking the official opening of the time capsule. Ennis spoke with students about his journey since elementary school and encouraged them to never give up on their dreams.

If you’re a former Good Shepherd student who contributed to the time capsule, you’re invited to come pick up your student projects or letters from your family at the school. Tables will be set up in the school’s entrance for easy pickup.
